Welcome! I am so excited that you are browsing through my website 🙂 Engaging in a new blog is like starting a new show on Netflix: your friend swore it was the best, so here you are checking it out (*cough* *cough* Ozark *cough*). And I totally get it. This is why this post is just to give you an idea of what to expect and enjoy from this blog. So, without further ado, let’s get into it.
Why a Blog?
Simply put, I LOVE writing. When I was younger, I would write poems, songs, essays, prose, all my feelings in a journal, and it was something that got me through great times and hard times. As I left to go to university, I started having less time and inspiration to read and write for fun. I just became used to the structured, scheduled assignments and projects, and forgot how fun it was to just sit, with a cup of Lipton Black Tea and just write. In a future blog post, I’ll let you in on something deeper that affected my writing (I promise.)
I eventually would love to write a book, but for now, I wanted an outlet that would not only hold what I’ve already written and currently writing, but prompt me to write more.
What should I expect from your blog Dely?
- Expect to see a different side of me. Not a lot of people know I write, and those who do only have a broad idea of what I would like to share. This blog gives you a chance to see that side.
- Expect to learn about yourself, too. I would hope that you can relate somehow to my posts, and be introspective. Whether it offers you a new perspective or it comforts you because you know exactly what I am writing about, this is a learning experience for us both.
- Anything and everything! This blog’s content has a wide range. You may laugh, cry, cringe, or blush — Expect a little bit of everything, and a whole lot of honesty.
- Interactive Feature: My contact page lists where you can follow me and email me. I would love to see your comments under posts, but if you want to share your response privately, or would like me to respond to a question or topic in the form of a blog post, shoot me an email!
I am in my 20s. I am constantly growing and evolving into the woman I am meant to be, and I know you are evolving into the person you are meant to be, however young or old you are. This journey is a winding, cobblestone road and we walking with 6-inch heels, Honey — i.e. difficult as hell! But that doesn’t mean it is impossible and that we have to do it alone. Consider this post an invitation to be authentically yourself as you read from a woman who is doing her best to do the same.
